What kind of beef do you use in your burgers?
Every one of our burgers is made with 100% pure beef and cooked and prepared with salt, pepper and nothing else—no fillers, no additives, no preservatives.
We use the trimmings of cuts like the chuck, round and sirloin for our burgers, which are ground and formed into our hamburger patties.

Is McDonald’s Mauritius Halal Certified?
At McDonald’s Mauritius, all our meats are 100% Halal certified. We make sure that this is the case by only sourcing meat from locally and internationally trusted and certified Halal suppliers. All beef and chicken served at McDonald’s restaurants is certified Halal by the relevant Islamic authorities at the countries of origin, and those authorities are approved Halal certifiers by the concerned government bodies.
Are McDonald's French fries suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, our fries are suitable for vegetarians. The fries are not coated in any fats or substances from an animal. Once at the restaurant, our fries are simply cooked in dedicated frying vats in a non-hydrogenated blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil which is 100 percent suitable.
Is a veggie patty sandwich suitable for vegetarian?
Our Veggie Burger is a crisp veggie patty fried in high quality 100% vegetable oil blend sprinkled with shredded lettuce, juicy tomato and our special sauce in an egg-free bun. It is suitable for vegetarians and has been approved by the Vegetarian Society.
